PARTYNEXTDOOR - PARTYNEXTDOOR

Drake's new artist drops his free debut project, little Weeknd sounding to me, very dope.

Tiesto's Crazy Remix to 'I Love It'

This was one of the best songs played at EDC Las Vegas last week, right next to Sander Van Doorn playing Gervais' remix to 'Young and Beautiful.' I was singing like a little girl to this song, definitely set the bar for the night.

Calvin Harris - Thinking About You (Feat. Ayah Marar)

Second best song out there called "Thinking About You" (No one beats Frank, sorry.)

Lorde - Royals

Lorde has some really different sounding music than I've heard in a while and I'm becoming a big fan. Royals speaks to the problems with the music game today and how everyone focuses on material things too much without turning into a sob story. Check it out and look for more Lorde in the coming weeks.

Kanye West - Black Skinhead (Alex Young + Royals Horny Edit)

Words cannot describe how awesome this song is. Your face will melt. Let it happen.

Let Me Show You Love (Dont Give Up On Us) (Tom Swoon Edit)

One of my favorite songs this summer thus far.

Afrojack Remix + Insane Tomorrowland Lineup Revealed

I know it seems like I'm on some Afrojack bender but my love for him was restored at EDC Las Vegas so I thought I would share his epic tracks.  Here is a remix he did of Keane's 'Sovereign Light Cafe'

And, Tomorrowland just revealed the lineup for next month... Wow.

MAIN STAGE-Friday

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike
Fedde Le Grand
ARTY
Otto Knows

MC Stretch

MAIN STAGE-Saturday

Axwell
Knife Party
Chuckie

David Guetta vs Afrojack vs Nicky Romero (No words to describe how nasty this will be)
Steve Angello
Steve Aoki
Alesso

Djaxx & Neurotique
MC Stretch
And thats just Mainstage! Every day has roughly 11 stages.  Typical Tomorrowland, always raising the bar

Saturday Skool Week 4: Dirty Dutch

Dirty Dutch, or Dutch House is a style many people think of as Dance, but it is a branch of Dance style that definitely deserves its own post.  The most famous names playing Dirty Dutch would have to be Afrojack, Chuckie, Fedde Le Grand, and Tiesto occasionally.  The style can be characterized by Latin influenced rhythms, less emphasis on bass line, and higher pitched lead synths (the higher pitch is the easiest thing to recognize).

This may have to be my favorite track on here even though most people probably haven't heard of GLOWINTHEDARK. This is the perfect example of a Dirty Dutch song

Afrojack's Terrorizing Track 'Annie's Theme' + His EDC Set

Afrojacks track 'Annie's Theme' is insane.  I really don't know how to describe it and if it doesn't make you want to dance and rage face you must be paralyzed or deaf.

Also here is his mind bottling set from EDC last week, towards the end he drops two hot new tracks

2AM Club - Too Fucked Up To Call

2AM Club is probably my favorite group out there today that still flies a bit under the radar but this song could change all of that, pretty sure everyone has had a moment like this.

Jhinkz - Trance Mix #1

Jhinkz is a DJ out of University of Richmond that a friend referred me to and I'm glad he did. He's been putting out mixes for about a month now and this is definitely my favorite one to date, check his soundcloud page for more.

Bianca Leonor - Regret

I'm really liking this girl's voice, hope to see some more releases from her in the future.

Knife Party-The EDM Death Machine

Knife Party's newest album "EDM Death Machine" single handedly revived dubstep for me. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that I got teary eyed and plagued with goosebumps as a result of these next few songs. Internet Friends VIP absolutely rocked my world. This album is sick.

TBT Mix All Time Favorites

These are all songs from HYM's younger days that deserve a second shot under the spotlight.  Enjoy a few of my all time favorite mashups and mixes.

The Neighbourhood – $ting

SikDuo

SikDuo is sick. These guys are relatively unknown, but their music hits. The MC Hammer samples also add to the appeal, give them a listen!

Ben Lapps for the win

Wednesday, June 26, 2013

Benny Benassi - Dance The Pain Away (Feat. John Legend)

John Legend goes house, and of course he kills it.

Icona Pop - I love it (Willy Joy Bootleg)

Willy Joy coming in hot with a slowed down Trap sound that drops like nothing I've really heard before (around the 1.10 mark).  Everything is kind of... delayed, yet still very deliberate.  Hard to explain really, but I think you'll get it when you give it a listen.

Tuesday, June 25, 2013

J. Cole Makes "Power Trip"

J Cole decided to produce every single one of his beats on "Born Sinner" and apparently it worked (300,000 copies in the first week). Don't miss this video where Cole gives everyone a look inside how a studio session with him goes.

New Duck Sauce 'It's You'

A fun funky song proving Duck Sauce is more than just Barbara Streisand.  Turn it up and get ready to want to dance.  Also the music video is pretty fun too

RiFF RAFF - DOLCE & GABBANA (Prod. By DJ Carnage)

If your feeling ignorant, I have just the song for you.  No one is more ignant than Riff Raff.  That beat is fat though (props to Carnage).

Raleigh Ritchie - A Moor

Vic Mensa featuring Lili K – Hollywood LA

The Weeknd - Kiss Land (Official Video)

Asher Roth - The Greenhouse Effect Vol. 2

Monday, June 24, 2013

Sunday, June 23, 2013

Le Youth - C O O L (DJ Sliink Remix)

Words can't really describe what this sounds like but I'll do my best; Vocals from Cassie (Me and You), a little trap, a touch of house, and so much more. Might have just found my new favorite track.

Lana Del Rey - Young and Beautiful (Cedric Gervais Remix)

Cedric has been on an absolute tear lately with releases, this edit of Lana's hit is another banger.

EDC Days 1 + 2

Wow.  I dont even know what to say.  EDC went all out this year with thematics, decor, and lights.  And the artists have been straight killing it during their sets.  Some of the best sets for days one and two have been Sander Van Doorn (and his insane remix of Lana's Young and Beautiful), Bloody Beetroots Live, Tiesto (of course) and Bro Safari straight killed it.  Empire of the Sun had crazy theatrics and the fireworks blew my mind.  Tonights lineup looks like Knife Party, Above and Beyond, Calvin Harris, Krewella, Steve Angello, Laidback Luke, and Fedde Le Grande.  To many good names tonight.

Videos and photos soon to follow, but heres this in the meantime
And Above and Beyond at the second best festival behind EDC (Just kidding)

EDC Artists + Songs

Whats up everyone I am finally here in Vegas looking at Caesars Palace as the girls put on their Tut-Tuts and knee-highs thinking about raging face to Nicky Romero, ATB, Bloody Beetroots Live, Armin, Madeon, and many more.  I will be sure to keep you guys posted on how it is, the best sets, and even original footage of the craziest festival in the US.  Since most of you cant be here, here is a little taste of what Im going to experience live.

Jay Z - Magna Carta Holy Grail (teaser vid)

I'm sorry Kanye West, and I'ma let you finish... but Jay motherfuckin Z is dropping an album on the 4th of July like the true American legend that he is... All the hype for Kanye's album just went out the window... Sorry buddy, but step aside for the king.  This is monumental.

Thursday, June 20, 2013

The Dream - IV Play (Gladkill Remix)

Got real lost in this remix about 35 seconds in, sounds a lot like HYM favorite Cashmere Cat, give it a listen.

Wake Me Up - Avicii (Official Extended Version)

We finally have the full/HQ/Official/whatever else you want to call it version of Avicii's new track, enjoy.

Wednesday, June 19, 2013

New Electro House by Joe Garston- "Love Is All We Got"

Dear Here's Your Mixtape fans, I like this song. You should too. Joe Garston- "Love Is All We Got" Enjoy.

"Born Sinner" - J Cole Feat. James Fauntleroy

If you couldn't tell by now, I'm a huge J Cole fan, as well as a huge supporter of his new album, "Born Sinner".  The title track once again delivers with an incredible feature in James Fauntleroy on the hook, whom you might remember from memorable features on "Girls Love Beyonce" and "Clique.

Ricky Hill - Nomads (Feat. The Weeknd)

Some of that classic Weeknd trippy, mysterious R&B shit.

Miriam Bryant - Push Play (Filip Jenven & Mike Perry Remix)

Little older song here but nonetheless a killer house tune that should go on everyone's weekend playlist.

Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop (Produced by Mike Will)

I admittedly was a huge fan of "Party in the USA" when it first came out so I gave this song a shot and while it has got a much different feel, I kind of dig it anyways. Might not be for everyone but check it out and see what you think.

Tuesday, June 18, 2013

J. Cole - New York Times (Feat. 50 Cent & Bas)

One of the five bonus tracks off of Born Sinner, which if you haven't heard yet is probably my favorite album of the year so far.

Sunday, June 16, 2013

Macklemore - City Don't Sleep

Some dope old school Macklemore for you this Father's Day, don't let his newfound mainstream fame fool you, the man can spit.

"Crooked Smile" - J.Cole feat. TLC

J.Cole drops another summer banger, this time a feel-good ode to all of life's imperfections.  One of the catchiest hooks I've ever heard.  Also, good to see TLC doing something with their time other than chasing waterfalls.

Hey Kids It's Borgore!

Do you know what's hardcore? Borgore is the raunchiest DJ out there, but his music is hilarious and his beats are top of the line. I had the pleasure of going to a concert of his on friday and it got filthy. Definitely worth seeing live if you get the chance, but for now here are just a few of my favorites from one of my first loves in the electric genre.

Saturday, June 15, 2013

Saturday Skool Week 3: Synthpop/Electropop

Synthpop is one of the more mainstream styles that I will post on Saturday Skool but definitely deserves recognition.  It is a broader style that includes multiple styles within it.  Synthpop can be characterized by, you guessed it, heavy use of the Synth as well as drum machines and sequencers.  The style was biggest back in the late 70's early 80's but has made a come back and can be seen in big names like Kaskade and Calvin Harris.  Here are some new styles and interpretations of the insane style

Friday, June 14, 2013

Alan Wilkis - More Than Normal (Feat. Childish Gambino)

Childish doesn't make bad music.

Dornik - Something About You

The best pass out/sleep song out there.

Avicii - Wake Me Up

We've heard the rip from Ultra but the legend Pete Tong premiered the radio version tonight, could be the song of the summer.

Sugar Ray - Every Morning

I'm a little late for throwback Thursday, but I'm sorry... this song is still an absolute jam.  I was going to post this last night... until I didn't... and ironically Every Morning turns out to be a pretty solid choice for helping me cope with this hangover.

Thursday, June 13, 2013

Radioactive - Imagine Dragons (Synchronice Remix)

I don't usually like DJ's trying to turn alternative into house but this is too dope not to post, Synchronice crushed this remix.

Pusha T featuring 2 Chainz & Big Sean – Who I Am

Billie Holliday – My Man (Toro y Moi Remix)

Asher Rother - Blurred Lines

XXYYXX 17 Year Old Boss

XXYYXX is a sick indie/chillout producer.  Marcell Everett (Xxyyxx) is a musical genius and is only 17 years old.  He is definitely gaining in popularity and makes pretty unusual beats that seem to sound better right around 4:20 for some reason...  He describes his own music as "doing drugs on a freeway... Underwater" ? Ya, pretty trippy kid if you ask me but his music is tight and thats all I care about.

Fuck What Happens Tonight

Got to love the Jamaican sound.  French has really been delivering on the beats lately.

Snakehips "Make It"

Hailing from London, Snakehips has been killing it for a while now.  This is their newest release to keep us occupied while they finish up work in the studio on their newest single.  Here we have "Make It"  Check them out on their soundcloud here.

Action Bronson & Harry Fraud – SAAAB STORIES (EP Stream)

Vince Staples featuring Ab-Soul – Killin Y’all (Produced by Larry Fisherman)

Asher Roth – Pass The Dutch

Jack Beats and Their Old School Electro

Jack Beats is an English electronic duo composed of DJ Plus One and Beni G.  Their music is described as having "wobbly baselines" which could not be a more accurate description once you hear "Get Down".  Good music, pretty electro, all around good stuff.

ScHoolboy Q featuring Kendrick Lamar – Collard Greens

Monday, June 10, 2013

Drake Started From The Bottom ft. Wiz Khalifa, Mahine Gun Kelly, Meek Mill & Ace Hood

This is sick.

Nathen Schultz

Bro from USC (that's University of South Carolina, not to be confused with the University of Southern California) coming in hot with a freestyle. At first I thought this was just a random kid who could spit, but then I found his recorded music, and I think he could actually make it big with a little refining.  Listen to him spit, then check out his rymes over G-Easy's, "Acting Up."

Mac Miller – Nas Is Like/Kick Push (Freestyle)

Mike Posner - The Way It Used To Be

Good to see Mike back releasing new music, look out for his new album dropping sometime this fall.

Chris Brown – Somebody Else (Remix)

SDotBraddy featuring J NICS – Locomotive

Iggy Azalea - Bounce (Green Lantern's Trap remix)

Alex Wiley featuring Chance The Rapper & GLC – Spaceship II

Some More Monday Mashups by DJ Trademark

So don't lose your cool everyone but I got some trippy news: DJ Trademark is DJ Topsiders older brother, who we posted about last monday.  Both do Mashups, but they still have different styles.  DJ Trademark does more mixes with vocals and is a little more Dance oriented, while DJ Topsider mixes more beats and incorporates dub step, rap, and some hard style songs.  DJ Trademark made the first mashups I heard back in high school.  Im scared Im going to find their parents have mixes too or something, cause talent clearly runs in the family. Turn the Volume up and prepare to rage (All songs are free downloads)

J. Cole – Born Sinner (Full Album Stream)

!llmind – Beats For Kanye West (Instrumental EP)

STWO - Wifey

Loving the Ja Rule sample in this, too chill.

Mac Miller featuring Action Bronson - Red Dot Music

Mac Miller featuring ScHoolboy Q - Gees (Produced by Chuck Inglish)

Kanye West - On Site [Performed at Governor's Ball]

Jimi Hendrix – Somewhere [Unreleased]

Sunday, June 9, 2013

Hayden James - Permission to Love

Sunday cruise music.

Imagine Dragons - Radioactive (dBerrie Remix)

Nice little remix. This will be a hot song for as long as the original stays fresh.

Macklemore ft. Ryan Lewis-Can't Hold Us (Major Lazer Remix)

Major Lazer remixes one of the most popular songs on the radio right now, turning it into a trap banger and reaching a more mainstream audience in the process. Check it out!

Saturday, June 8, 2013

Disclosure feat. Sam Smith - Need U 100% (Duke Dumont Cover)

From the team that brought you "Latch", Disclosure and Sam Smith are back at it with their cover of Duke Dumont's #1 hit in the UK and I personally think it's better than the original,

Saturday Skool Week 2: Drum and Bass

Drum and Bass brings EDM back to the original, old school "rave" music.  Drum and Bass has been around for a while now but newer takes on it and additions of fast vocals have made it one of my favorite less known styles of EDM. D and B is known for its fast breakbeats and at times can be repetitive, but if the track is hot enough it doesn't really matter if its on loop.  The first tracks are by Rudimental. Wow. Beyond the vocals this girl and guy have, they are just insane.  Next time someone tries to argue that EDM music takes no talent, show them live Drum and Bass, like this video.  Something about trumpets and percussions in techno music really gets me going.  The amount of live sounds and the lack of prerecorded beats makes it that much more insane.

Rudimental - Waiting All Night ft. Ella Eyre:

(The guy singing is white, I swear)

This would be a more traditional example of Drum and Bass:

Ellie Goulding - Tessellate (Alt-J cover) -- "Une Nuit Ć  Paris"

If you weren't already sporting a half chub at the thought of a new Ellie Goulding cover, or at full salute at the sound of her voice, you'll surely be dealing with a fully blown, one-eye'd trouser snake by the end of this video.  Ellie, I think I'm in love. (sorry Blake Shannon, I'm stealing your girl)

Rustie - Slasherr (Flume Edit)

Flume hails from Australia and has been releasing some of the most unique sounding music I've heard in a while. Calling it simply "trap" doesn't do it, there's some funk, snare, and more, give it a listen.

Asher Roth – Numbers

"I'm harder than cuttin carbs out macdonald's extra large"

RAC Remixes

These songs are perfect to make you happy.  Awesome remixes, I really don't know if I have heard a bad one yet.  RAC stands for Remix Artist Collective and it is a bunch of musical bosses who turn good songs into better ones.  Here are some samples of what they got... Enjoy! and get ready for Saturday Skool Week 2 tomorrow, got song sick beats coming your way

Pretty Lights Music releases Supervision's Telekenetics EP.

I have loved anything that has to do with Pretty Lights for a while now.  His jams played a huge role in my introduction to EDM when I was a senior in high school.  Now he and his Pretty Lights Music label are on to fostering the next great talent in his soulful yet energetic genre.  Here we have PLM's signee Supervision and his latest EP called Telekenetics, the thing just hits hard.  No preview, just download it here.

Follow SuperVision on twitter and Facebook.

Swizzymack - Drip

If played with the proper amount of bass, I could easily see any party getting obscene when this track drops.    That being said, don't cheat yourself on this, and plug into whatever you got around that isn't your laptop speakers.

Mad Decent Block Party, Dallas in August... get your tickets now and start your year off right.

CRNKN - Smog Records Mix

Ok, so you know the CRNKN Remix to No Hands that remains the most popular post in HYM history since I posted last year?  CRNKN is back with a 30 minute mix that, in a weird and kinda creepy way, is dope.  The true king my my eyes, CRNKN is taking the iron throne of the Trap game.  If he doesn't, I'll be almost as disappointed as I was after Sundays episode of Game Of Thrones... (fucking bullshit)

Surfer Blood - Gravity

Mord Fustang + Holy Ship!!!

Mord Fustang is a huge up and coming who won breakthrough artist back in 2012 @ Beatport Music Awards.  He's from Estonia so you know he's gonna bring that European heavy electro sound and has also started to add some other sounds in as well.

(For those in San Diego, Mord Fustang is playing at Voyuer next Thursday, only 10 dollars but 21+)

Also, Holy Ship!!! just released the line-up for their 2014 voyage in January and the lineup is insane.  Unfortunately, its already sold out but they do have a waiting list you can get on.  Just to torture y'all some more, here is the after movie from last year.

HAHA-YO - HEY.

I've been a fan of HAHA-YO since last year when they dropped "Do What I Want" and "Jimmy Buffet" and their debut project is finally here. Some serious beach vibes with this, perfect road trip/day drinking/any summer activity music.

Lana Del Rey Remixes

Lana Del Rey's beautiful pipes have been all over the place as of late, here are couple of the latest and greatest remixes by the up and coming DJ Panic City.  Enjoy...

Dada Life - So Young So High

I'm not usually a fan of Dada Life, but I'm pretty sure its impossible to listen to this song without smiling.  Killer addition to the my Summer Cruising playlist that will be played on repeat for the next few months.

Also here's a couple remixes so that that awesome vocal line never gets old.

My homie Dillon Francis...

...and some other dude.

Also don' forget to snag your BLOCK PARTY tickets today, so you don't miss Dillon Francis in August.

Fenech Soler - Magnetic (Jakob Liedholm Remix)

Jakob Liedholm consistently puts out some serious house music, perfect mix of vocals and hard hitting synths.

Betty Who - High Society (The Soundmen Remix)

This is the perfect summer song, The Soundmen crushed this remix, creating a very catchy beat with some old hip-hop samples mixed in throughout, don't miss this one.

Timeflies Tuesday - Wagon Wheel

Timeflies absolutely killing it with this remix of an all time classic.  Kinda hard to compare to the original, so look at this one like an original song, and I think they do it justice.

Trapppp

Here's a little taste of some of the wonderful sounds the trap game has to offer.  And a little Diplo & Friends set to round things off in just the right way.

One of the better trap remixes of Can't Hold Us in my opinion.  They keep the chorus of the original along with a couple verses but Major Lazer really takes this one over.

One of the kings in the trap game really does his thing on this remix of Jamie Lidell's What a Shame.

Download here.

It just gets filthy with this much needed remix of a classic Ludacris track.

Now for one of the best Trap Mixes/Sets of 2013 so far we have some innovative and awesome creations by Imanos.

And here is the Diplo Set I promised, one of the best Producers/DJs out there right now.  Just absolutely doing his thing on his own radio show back in March.

'Stay Young' and other Sick Tracks by Silver Medallion

I can't quite figure this guy out.  His styles are pretty different, all good but different.  He is in the middle of crazy famous and still trying to make it, which makes us at Here's Your Mixtape like him that much more.  His biggest single is "Stay Young" straight up my number one most played song on my iTunes.  Its the perfect dance song, sick male vocals, which are hard to find in the EDM scene.  His other songs are a lot less obvious in terms of genre.  His only other single is "Gravity" which is pretty electro but has a kind of Funk sound to it.  His diversity and ability to play different styles is one reason I like him so much.  Also, definitely a hipster as you can see from the picture.  The more I read about this guy the more I like him, his answer to what we should expect from him in the future was: "Music that defies genre, and anthems that express the chaos of everything that goes on in the world"...Thats deep
I hope to hear more of his sounds in the future.

Prodigy featuring Domo Genesis – YNT (Young and Thuggin)

Lana Del Rey - Young & Beautiful (Rendition) by SoMo

R&B twist to an instant hit from the Great Gatsby.

Shout out to Gaelen

2 Chainz - Feds Watching (Feat. Pharrell)

2 CHAINNZZZZZZZZ

SO JAPAN – Hella Bandz

K. Roosevelt - Do Me Now

Debut single from an artist that, if he keeps it going like this, will be getting his, soon enough.

Henrik B. - Echoes

EDM has been growing on me so much since life at SMU.  This one leaves a little to be desired with the lyrics, but makes up for it with an undeniably catchy sound.  https://soundcloud.com/niklasgmusic/henrik-b-niklas-gustavsson

Monday, June 3, 2013

Klingande - Jubel

Timeflies - I Choose U (Fedde Le Grand Remix)

When Fedde is remixing your tracks, you've officially made it, congrats Timeflies.

Insane Mashups by DJ Topsider

I've always liked Mashups but I've always felt they are all pretty average and found it hard to find good ones or a steady artist.  But then I stumbled upon this guy.  DJ Topsider straight up knows his music and mixes it all perfectly.  Even better, DJ Topsider (AKA Bryce McMurray) is a college student at Vanderbilt.  He has reaffirmed my faith in mashups.  And his fratty name is pretty tight too.  Also, who doesn't like free downloads?

Shout out to Hollz Ballz for showing me this guy

Meek Mill – Levels

The XX – Fiction (Maya Jane Coles Remix)

Chance The Rapper – Acid Rap Live (Short Film)

Wale featuring Rick Ross and Lupe Fiasco – Poor Decisions (Produced by Jake One)

Wale featuring Rihanna – Bad (Remix)

J.Cole - Crooked Smile (Feat. TLC)

Born Sinner out June 18th, judging by this and Power Trip, it could be one of the best hip-hop albums of the year.

Top Tracks to Rage to + EDC Tips

Everybody knows big names like Tiesto, Kaskade, and Deadmau5 but what about the other DJ's putting out tracks guaranteed to get people raging face.  Although these guys are all insane DJ's, none of them make the list for top club banger tracks (except maybe Kaskade's new Atmosphere).

The best have to be Bingo Players, Nervo, Nicky Romero, and Dimitri Vegas.  All of them take on a more dance like style that always gets the party going. Below I included a bunch of sounds from each.

EDC: Obviously following this post, you don't want to miss Nervo, Nicky Romero, and Bingo Players sets (Dimitri won't be there).  Also look out for R3hab's set and Benny Benassi's; he may be pretty old but he still plays some of the most insane sets around.  A less known name with sick music is Thomas Gold, same style just less known.  There will be tons of sick sets but these are some of the heavy dance sets to look for.
Also, for those of you who don't have a shuttle pass yet, some advice: get your pass at http://ucsd.juscollege.com/edc.html  This website juscollege.com is for college students to get sick discounts on all college essentials.  Their bus pass is not only cheaper but Insomniac's bus lines are roughly an hour long where as juscollege guarantees no longer than a thirty minute wait.

Kat Dahlia - Money Party

Kat Dahlia is my guilty pleasure, she recently signed with Sony and is on the verge of blowing up for good reason. She's got a Rihanna type voice and should be destroying radio stations all summer, don't miss this.

Firebeatz - Wonderful

Saturday, June 1, 2013

The Knocks - Modern Hearts ft. St. Lucia

Disco is fresh.

Run The Jewels - Banana Clipper feat Big Boi

This beat comes in so hot (guns a blazin) that I have to pause every time I hit replay to re-soak my face towel in ice water. Not to mention the fire that Big Boi expectantly lays down... Whatever, its summer.  Bring the heat.  (also free downloads make me happy)

Saturday Skool Week 1: Moombahton

Whats up everybody today is the first edition of Saturday Skool.  In this new thread I am gonna be posting different types of electric dance music because of the many evolving styles.  This particular style is called Moombahton.  Moombahton is a blend of house music and reggaeton, seems like an awkward pair but its a dope style.  The style was first explored by Dave Nada (now known as Nadastrom) in 2009 when he mixed Afrojack's Silvia Ecomo slowed down and Chuckie's song "Moombah" hence the name Moombahton.  Every time a Moombahton song comes on I always go straight to the air-steel drums.

Here are some dope examples of Moombahton:

I!!- Nadastrom Diplo and Dillion Francis- Dill The Noise Rack City Typga Dirty audio mix- Also be sure to get your tickets to Mad Decent Block Party in Dallas August 31st where both Dillion Francis and Nadastrom will be. It should be dope, or get tickets to one of there other venues all over the US.
http://maddecentdallas.eventbrite.com/

Phoenix – Trying To Be Cool (Breakbot Remix)
