Gent & Jawns - TURNUP

Feel free to get buck to this too.

OZZIE - BLAZED OFF

Here's somebody new for you all.  OZZIE keeps it clean and simple, bringing us back to the roots of TRAP music.  That deep rolling base under sparse, bouncing samples.  Make sure you've got headphones or a decent sub for this one, and be ready to get buck... mate.

Rick Ross - 100 Black Coffins

Last night I made the fantastic, last-minute decision of seeing Django Unchained over The Hobbit.  Tarantino did his thing and took something taboo and turned it into bloody, darkly hilarious, action, shooter, amazing, ridiculousness.  Overall, this movie is SO sick, and what made it even more bad-ass was the killer soundtrack featuring original tracks from John Legend, Frank Ocean, and even the boss himself -- Ricky Rozay.  The song is typical Rick Ross nonsense but it was cued so perfectly in the movie that I really didn't give a shit and got pumped the fuck up anyway.  Go see the movie.  You'll see what I mean.

Shout out to Bill and Nolan.

Lights All Night... Festival of the century

For those of you in the Dallas area who are not already aware, this NYE is bringing possibly the most epic music festival in EDM history right to our doorstep.  I've been anticipating this event for quite some time, as I had heard rumors of the stacked lineup that really just sounded too good to be true.  Well, it is true, and they went ahead and made it impossible to pick one day out of the three.  Just take a gander.

Head over to their website for tickets.  This will be a NYE to remember.

Deadmau5 - Strobe (Evan Duffy Piano Cover)

This video is 100% worth watching all the way through.  I have always been intrigued by the striking similarities between classical and electronic music.  People are quick to discredit DJ's as musicians, as there music tends to come without words, and yet some of the most famous musicians of all time were composing instrumental symphonies in a similar fashion hundreds of years ago... Just with different instruments.  Strobe may have been the first Trance/House song I ever heard, and it remains one of my all time favorites.

Here's the original for good measure.

Avicii and Nicky Romero - I Could Be The One

This video literally sums up my view of the world.  Everybody should try to take a page out of this chicks book... Just try not to get hit by any buses in the end (spoiler alert ;)

A Very Wick-It Christmas

Wick-It The Instigator... He's one of the best Hip-Hop DJ's still out there if you ask me.  I think one of the reasons why he hasn't been drowned out by the overwhelming wave of electronic DJ's today is that he has an unprecedented ability to move between genres and really blur the lines.  I mean who else could make hip-hop sound good over Christmas Classics.  Enjoy this thugged out holiday mix.

My personal favorite is DMX singing Rudolf The Red Nosed Reindeer around 4:30 hahah.

HAVE A VERY MERCY CHRISTMAS FROM RL GRIME

HAHA this is hilarious.  and kind of amazing.  RL Grime does it again.  Merry belated Christmas.

WAKA FLOCKA - No Hands (CRNKN Remix) FULL Version

Ladies and gents.  My post last week on CRNKN's teaser got more attention than all of my other posts combined.  Today I have the pleasure of presenting you all with the FULL version that we have all so anticipated.    It is everything that I hoped it would be.  Best Christmas ever.  Thanks CRNKN.

Buraka Som Sistema - Hangover (MΔXX BΔER Remix)

MAXX BAER (I'm not going through the trouble of copying his little symbols) is not a name I'm familiar with.  HOWEVER, when he shared this mix with me on Soundcloud, I knew that I had found myself a new Trap genius.  The transitions from the build to the drop are dirty (in the best possible way), and will make you wish you had someone to grind with.  That's one of the reasons I <3 Trap music.  This track also stays melodically sound through the drop, which separates MAXX BAER from many of the sub-par producers experimenting with Trap. He's got it down.  Something he shares in common with Baauer, CRNKN, and Flosstradamus;  the current leaders of the movement.  I cant wait to hear more from MAXX.

Save The World/Don't You Worry Child - Pentatonix (Swedish House Mafia cover)

The Pentatonix are doing great things.  They are single-handedly proving that acapella isn't necessarily limited to the classic barbershop sound that we are so accustomed to.  I think the boys over in Sweden would really be proud of this one.  Maybe they should also pull their heads out of their asses and just reform SHM.  No ones falling for the whole "were splitting up" act.  You can only do so many "FINAL world tours."  Anyway, check out this video.

Nicki Minaj - Warning

Nicki needs to pull her shit together and bring back her old flow because this is FIRE.  I mean I would go so far as to compare her to Biggie on this track.  New Nicki makes me sick.  Leave all the dressing up in ridiculous costumes and featuring in club music to sell outs and singers. Nicki is an East Coast thug at heart.  Not Jamaican Lady Gaga.

Nero - Me And You

Here's a song that's gotten a lot of love recently.  The song has been around for a while (off of their "Welcome Reality" album from 2011, which was greatly dominated by Nero's hit, "Promises"), but it came on while I was listening to Pandora's Dubstep station, and I was like, "DAMN!  WTF is this?!."  It's not often these days that I hear a BANGER on the radio that I haven't already heard.  Gotta hand it to Pandora I guess.  Couldn't be happier that I've been introduced to this gem.  Massive, yet melodic, and will definitely be a crowd pleaser.

Shout out to Liam Coleman

Also check out this remix from Dirtyphonics.  It's a little in the heavy side, but just as epic as the original.  Plus, I'd love to see Drum and Bass make a comeback.

Waka Flocka - No Hands (CRNKN Remix)

CRNKN has been killing it lately in the Trap scene.  He recently dropped this teaser to a remix of Waka Flocka's signature "No Hands," and it has left me hungry for more.  It takes the signature high hats and rhythm of Trap, and then it gives us a build that could rival even the biggest house banger.  So Im sitting here at my computer getting HYPED as fuck, waiting for the drop to just start going HAM (Jimmy Tatro anyone), when the mix just ends... Wtf CRNKN.  Give me the whole mix already.  Keep your eyes open for that one.  Until then, enjoy being teased.

YOO Listen up.  The Full version dropped already.  Stop listening to this one fools.  Check it out here.

Nicki Minaj - Beam Me Up Scotty

I know I'll probably get some shit for posting anything by Nicki Minaj, but this song came out a few months ago, and if one thing is for sure, Nicki's still got flow.  She may have sold out a while ago, but this proves that she's still got that signature sound that made her so popular in the first place.  If you're a fan of some of her older stuff that she did with Kanye and Drake then you will like this club banger.

Shout out to Bill Fox

Live Launchpad Mashup

Those of you out there who question the skills of those who create electronic music need to watch this video.  What other instrument allows you to throw together a full song in just one go?? No instrument that I know of.
