Synthpop is one of the more mainstream styles that I will post on Saturday Skool but definitely deserves recognition. It is a broader style that includes multiple styles within it. Synthpop can be characterized by, you guessed it, heavy use of the Synth as well as drum machines and sequencers. The style was biggest back in the late 70's early 80's but has made a come back and can be seen in big names like Kaskade and Calvin Harris.
