One of my all time, dubstep favorites, Zeds Dead, just dropped a new album.  Some fresh new sounds here and I love it.  Enjoy

Flux Pavilion - Starlight

We are getting closer and closer to the release date, and Flux has been dropping previews left and right.  Here's his newest leak.  In my opinion, the best so far.

Flux Pavilion - Scientist

So I'm a little on the border with this one... Really I just thought it was cool that Flux is actually singing.  Just another example of how musically talented electronic producers are.   Give it a full listen and get pumped for the release of Flux's new album coming soon.

Parov Stelar

Now, this guy has been around for a while, and this isn't really something I thought I would post on this site, but for some reason I cant get enough of it.  I don't even really know what to call it.  Some sort of Electro/Swing I guess.  Something for the classier, black tie event.  Get suited up, bump this, and you'll see what I mean.

Really creepy pic^ but this was the best quality i could find.

Just Blaze & Baauer - Higher

You know I love Trap.  You may be sick of it, but I shall love it none the less.  Baauer is the king in my eyes, and one of the first to introduce me to the genre, along with Flosstradamus.  Back in the day Baauer had the most hits on the blog with Harlem Shake and Yaow, so I bet you all will like this jam.  Bump responsibly.

Kell - SMU Song (feat. Senor Queso)

Just some casual, shameless self promotion here.  SMU I'm getting excited for rush week in a couple days, so naturally I figured it was time to drop this one.  Ignorant and sarcastic with a FAT beat that we all recognize... I think you all will enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it.

Shout out Conor, Ben, Kira, and everyone else who pitched in along the way.

Flux Pavilion - OneTwoThree (Make Your Body Wanna)

OK.  So I'm just going to throw it out there that coming up with Dubstep that actually sounds new, and not sound like something off of Skrillex's first EP, seems to be impossible for some reason these days.  I mean Skrillex, Sonny Moore, the guy himself doesn't even sound like he did back then.  THE REASON PEOPLE LIKED IT WAS BECAUSE IT WAS FRESH AND NOTHING LIKE ANYTHING ANYONE HAD HEARD BEFORE.  Stop beating a dead horse and come up with something different.  That being said, Flux has been silent for way too long, so naturally when a FREE DOWNLOAD comes along off of an up and coming EP, something needs to be said.

Zedd on David Letterman

This is a huge step for EDM, being recognized on a major cable network by popular, late night talk show host David Letterman.  There is no denying, anymore, the presence, and artistic talent of DJ producers such as Zedd.  If you haven't heard Clarity, you should probably listen to the original, as well as this incredible instrumental performance.  Absolutely amazing song that is sure to put you in a good mood, as well as make you wish you were in a night club in Ibiza... or something.

Now here is the performance on Letterman.  HUGE step for Zedd, as well as for EDM.  Enjoy.

Ed Sheeran - The A Team (Alex G Cover)

One of my favorite songs of all time, a smoking hot girl, and a piano.  What could be better.  A big thank you to Tyler Ward for bringing us this one.

Be sure to support Alex G on iTunes.

Shenanigans and good music

KOAN sound is one of my favorite producers, as those of you who have been following this blog from the beginning may know.  Specifically, I always thought his lesser known song, Mr. Brown, deserved more attention.  I also always thought that song sounded like something from a Go Pro, snowboarding edit, so yesterday I took the opportunity to put that theory into action.  Me and some buddies from Hampton decided to put to music our shenanigans, messing around in their front yard with a bungee-cord.  It's just so natural.  As always with Go Pro vids... Make sure you watch in 1080p!!

Here's the song from KOAN Sound, WITH a download link thank god.  Enjoy, and support my boy KOAN.

Shout out to Liam, Henri, and Mich

Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble (acapella cover)

Now I've never really been a fan of Ms. Swift, but I have to admit I was interested when she started playing around with Dubstep in her recent radio hit, "I Knew You Were Trouble."  Not sure if this is a sign that she plans to expand into the genres of electronic music, as many popular artists today tend to be doing (following the money), or if she is just experimenting.  Either way, I appreciate the gesture Taylor.  Anyway, the folks from Walk Off The Earth who brought us the amazing, one-guitared Gotye cover of have come back with some friends and an amazing acapella cover of Taylor's experiment.  As with "Somebody That I Used To Know," I like their rendition more than the original. Well done boys.  And girl.

Wale ft. Travis Porter - Forlorn One Eye Kitten Song (prod. by Diplo)

WOOOAH what a combo.  And what a ridiculous name for a song.  Must be great.  Looks like our favorite producers and rappers also just like to mess around sometimes.  Only their shenanigans are way more impressive than mine...
